Enquiry about visa type

I am lecturer here in Ghana and I won a sponsored project with one of my Chinese colleagues at the Northwest University in Xi'an China. I will stay in China for one year. Which visa will I apply for and what documents do I require for the application of the visa? How long will it take me to get the visa?

May be work Z or F visa. I think you need to confirm with Northwest University and they would also help you with the applciation documents. The key documents for the two types of visa, the invitation letter for F and work permit for Z, should be provided by the university. Given all the materials prepared, the processing time is 4-5 days.
