About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Are we eligible for the 72 hour exemption? We are British citizens

We are arriving by cruise ship into Shanghai from Japan via South korea. We intend flying out the same day or definately the next. Thanks

Amanda, it's a pity that you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit policy because you are arriving by cruise ship, but you do qualify for the 24-hour direct transit policy. Therefore, you still don't need the transit permit.
