visa-free transit hours in Kuala Lumpur with Shanghai China passport

Hi There,

I wish to travel to Singapore, and when I return back to China, I want to stop by Kuala Lumpur for one night. So the plane ticket is in two, one is from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, and another from Kuala Lumpur to Shanghai. Do I need to apply for Malaysia enty permit first? or there's kind of free transit hours to support me in advance?

Appreciate your swift answrs in advance. thank you
BR

Claire, if you stay at the KL airport for no more than 6-8 hours, you don't need the transit permit. Otherwise, you should apply for one in advance.
