About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I use the 72 hour policy?

I am a U.S. citizen traveling from New York to Hong Kong for a few days and then Hong Kong to Shanghai for 2 days and then going from Shanghai to New York. Does this qualify for the 72 hour rule without a visa?
