About:Jinan Transportation

What is the best way to get from Jinan to Qingdao? or Qingdao to Ji Nan?

I want to visit both cities, but not sure which to go to first.
Will be leaving from Shanghai to go to them, and return to Shanghai after.

For all of the transportation, you can choose high-speed train.
From Shanghai, it's suggested to go Jinan first because of the shorter distance.
Take high-speed train at Hongqiao Railway Station, and get off at JN West Railway Station. It takes 3 to 4 hours.
After touring around, also take high-speed train to Qingdao. The travel time is no more than 3 hours.
Then come back to Shanghai from Qingdao. It takes around 6 to 7 hours.
