I'm looking to get my Chinese visa on the 8th, if I do the 4 working day application, can I leave my passport longer then the 4 days with the embassy? And what time shall I go there to apply?

Keri, you are applying from Thailand, right? If so, you should go to the embassy between 09:00 to 12:00 in the morning. After the four working days, you can leave your passport there for a few days if you have no time to pick up.
