About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hour transit permit exemption

My flight was from Madrid to Australia, flight plan was Madrid, Dubai 2 hour transit, 72 hours Shanghai, Hong Kong 2 hour transit airport then Brisbane. my flight was denied at airport as staff said the 72 hour transit visa did not apply as Dubai was our transit and Hong Kong was our destination. Had to cancel flight. Still cannot understand the logic.

Teresa, I'm sorry to hear the bad news, but I do think you are eligible for the free transit policy.
