best time to visit tiananmen square, beijing

Question

I am visiting  in Labor Day Holidays and planning to visit Tiananmen Square. Can you tell me that when (timings) should I visit the place to avoid crowd. I can visit it the earliest time in the morning, if I can know that it would be not crowded. Thanks.

During the festival, there are always lots of people in this scenic area. And most people will choose to see Flag-Raising Ceremony. So it will be crowd all the day. Maybe you can go there at dusk. The number of tourists will decrease at that time.  :-)
