About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

should i get a business visa in my own country?

I am looking to travel from Hong Kong to mainland China. I have been advised to obtain a business entry permit using a L travel type as a supporting document. Would it be legal to spend time working in China for 30 days on this travel entry permit before applying for the business type in China?

Ben, you cannot work in China with the L type. You mean you want to enter with the L type, and appy for a business type before it expires in 30 days, right? If so, I wanna ask, have you got the L type already? If you have not obtained it at present, you can just apply for a business type now. The business type can be used for trade purpose as well as travel purpose.

The idea is to obtain a double entry L type while in Kong Kong to enter PRC and then apply for the business type before the 30 days is up. Is there much risk in doing this?

Ben, I am not sure if you can get a double-entry L type in HK. By the way, I think you should apply for a M type instead of carrying your plan out.
