About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

transit visa query.

hi, we have booked a flight to russia via beijing. the airline hubs via Guangzhou where we ASSUME do NOT clear customs here, ie we don't formally enter china, this being done at Beijing. We have tickets to Irkutsk, returning via the same ports 2 weeks later. Can we use the 72 free transit? Thanks. ron

Ron, I'm afraid you cannot use the 72 hrs free transit policy as you transit in two mainland cities. You are suggested to confirm this with Guangzhou Immigration Office or your airline.
