will the consulate approve my visa when there is a discrepancy of a few days?

My ARC is valid until March 21, 2016. I am planning to visit mainland China September 26, 2015.

Hi Cass, it's OK! The remaining validity counts from the date that you submit the application. Therefore, if you submit the application in July or August, there wil be no problems caused by your ARC card.
