About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

From and Back To Same Third Country

I am a U.S. Citizen and would like to visit Chendu utilizing the 72-hour transit option. I would be arriving from Seoul and returning to Seoul. Would that qualify? Also, could the trip be on a two-leg flight via Tianjin? Thank you. Andy in Minneapolis, MN USA

Andrew, according to what you said, you are not ok for 72 hours free transit. First, the departure place and your destination can't be the same. Second, your flight can not stop at any other mainland Chinese cities except your transit city.
