About:Facilities & Services in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Banks for arriving flight in Beijing- Before or after border patrol?

We're arriving in PEK Terminal C on United Airlines. We will be bringing the maximum allowable amount of cash ($5,000 US per person) for an orphanage donation for an adoption. Since we will need CNY cash for our trip, are the ATMs and banks before border patrol or after?

We want to get through immigration without paying any duty tax, and then get more cash for our meals, etc.

Hi, the currency exchange centers are available before or after immigration. So it is fine to take 5,000USD to clear customs, without paying duty tax. Then at the arrival hall (non-restriction area), you can easily withdraw cash through an exchange center or ATM.
