About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Not enough validation of ARC

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am exchange student from Poland here in South Korea and I would like to go to Beijing for a visit on the August 2015. Is it possible to apply for visa in Seoul or Busan? If yes, what documents do I need?

I want to add that my ARC is valid from 12.03.2015 till 30.09.2015. Will it be still possible to apply?

Thank you for Your help. Look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Urszula Wojciulewicz

Hi Urszula! As far as I know, the ARC card of SK is required for foreigners from a third country to do the application. If you cannot provide an ARC card with a remaining validity of more than six months, then it’s likely that you can apply for China entry permit there. As the validity of your ARC is only a little bit shorter than the required validity, I suggest you consult with the embassy whether you can do the application with it. If yes, you need to provide the following details: passport, a photocopy of the passport’s info page, a completed application form attached with your recent bare-headed photo, the original and photocopy of your ARC card, and round way tickets and hotel orders.
