About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Am I eligible for the 72 hour visa exemption? I am an American.

I am flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, and then back to Singapore. However, my flight to Singapore has a layover in Kuala Lumpur. Is that ok? Is that still considered two different countries. Thanks in advance.

Kate, I'm afraid you are not eligible because the itinerary is not a valid transit.
