Visiting Chongqing in July

I would like to visit in July with my Chinese wife and 1.5 year old son, but my wife and her parents tell me CQ is too hot at that time?

I'm sure they have air-conditioning and millions of residents think the climate is acceptable.

Can anyone else advise if it is safe for us to visit?

Thanks

Yes, it is one of the hottest cities in China during summer and the highest temperature reaches 100F (38C) for a little higher, especially in the second half of July. If you are afraid of hot weather and also for your kid's sake, I suggest you change your plan.
