Shanghai Day Trip

We will arrive on 01 May for 2 nights stay in the city. Hotel booked at Salvo Hotel. On first day of arrival we intend to explore The Bund , Nanjing Rd , People Square and Oriental Pearl Tower. We need your advice on day 2 itinerary. We will be going to Hangzhou on 3 May for 3 nights after the city. What is the best transportation to Hangzhou ?
