shanghai day trip

Question

We will arrive  on 01 May for 2 nights stay in the city. Hotel booked at Salvo Hotel. On first day of arrival we intend to explore The Bund , Nanjing Rd , People Square and Oriental Pearl Tower. We need your advice on day 2 itinerary. We will be going to Hangzhou on 3 May for 3 nights after the city. What is the best transportation to Hangzhou ? Thank you & best regardsSally Tai

For the Day 2, I suggest you spend half a day in Yuyuan Garden and City God Temple business area. For the rest time, go to Tianzifang and Xintiandi for fun. From your hotel, you can walk about 720 yards to East Nanjing Road to take the subway line 2 to Hongqiao Railway Station. There you can easily take a high speed train to Hangzhou.
