Are there any limits/restrictions on using your USA bought cell phones while traveling in China?

Wondering how smart is it to bring our American carrier "imprinted" cell phones to use on travel in China? Will it be easy to use there or what will be some of the pitfalls, if any, to expect? Not much information concerning this on most websites, any help?

Yes, it would be easy to use your USA cell phone in China. You just need to make sure that your phone has open the international business.
