About:Baggage Allowance and Transportation

Luggage size and regulations, how strict are the rules?

How strict is the baggage limit?
Am I allowed only one bag per passenger?
If so, can my luggage exceed the limit even slightly?

Additionally, how are the restricted carry-ons categorized?
Is there any rules on liquids similar to airport restrictions?
My sunscreen is a fairly large bottle (not aerosol), but I wouldn’t rather have to throw it away at the start of my trip.

I heard the strictness is different throughout china, I’m traveling to Chengdu via plane and the neighboring conservation areas by train.

1. It’s not as strict as taking a plane, and 2 – 3 pieces including suitcase, bag and more would be OK, actually.
2. Restricted carry-ons are listed on this page above, including those flammable and explosive.
3. There are regulations on liquids such as drinking alcohol, perfume, toilet water, etc.
4. Your large sunscreen are allowed if it’s not aerosol or others restricted types listed above.
5. For taking a plane, you need to follow the regulations of your airline. It's much more stricter than taking a China train.
