About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

What should I do to let the CVASC office know I am applying "10 year visa"?

I am working on the application form. I'd like to apply "10 year type". But I can't find the place on the form to express this.

You can just check Other section and then specify that you want to apply for a 10 years type in 2.1 section of the application form.
