About:Top 10 Mistakes to Avoid in Completing a Chinese Visa Application Form

Online Application and Appointment Wait Times at CVASC in HK

I am American and have lived in China for the past eleven years. My employment recently ended, so I need to leave China Dec. 3. I plan to come to Hong Kong Dec. 3, apply for the tourist visa on the 4th, and return to China as soon as I receive the visa. I'm hoping this can work out. Is an online application for the China L visa and an appointment required at CVASC in HK? I have seen conflicting answers to these questions online and I am concerned about appointments not being immediately available if required. Thank you. Eric

It seems the online appointment is still necessary and you'd better make an appointment in advance.
