Shanghai stopover

Hello, I'm a Canadian flying from Denpasar to Toronto in June and I have a 21 hr stopover in Shanghai. I'd like to leave the airport to see the city for a few hours, what visa would I need? Thanks

Anna, as you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit, you don't need any entry permit except a valid passport and an onward flight ticket with cofirmed departure date and seat.
