About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Flights leaving china

When applying for a Chinese visa it asks for a date in which we will be leaving china; and proof of transport leaving. I am looking to travel china for the 30 days and leave via train or flight to Vietnam but I don't know the exact dates? it also says to have confirmation of booking of a hotel etc, how long does the hotel booking have to be for as I wont be staying in the same place very long?

so stressful.
many thanks
kayleigh

Kayleigh, if you are not certain about when to leave, you can fill the scheduled exit dates in the application form. You don't need to provide the booking records of all hotels. 2/3 of the booking records will suffice for the application.

My son is going to China soon and then possibly (but not certain!) on to India. Does he have to show the onward ticket at Visa application? He is going to Hong Kong and from there to Huanan.
He has a German passport.

If he can provide an invitation letter written by a relevant individual or entity in China, then the onward ticket is not needed. Otherwise, he has to submit the onward or return ticket.

Cherry-Do we really need 2/3 of the hotel bookings? And, will there be a problem if I cancel or change some or all of the bokings after I am granted an entry permit? Thanks, Bill.

Yes, I saw a post on the embassy's website said so. However, after you are granted the entry permit, it's OK to cancel or change some arrangements.
