About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

72-Hour Visa-Free Transit at PVG

I need clarification on the what you wrote above about the 72 hour visa.

I am Thai citizen and plan on transiting through Pudong airport. Do I need a visa or not? As I'm not a citizen of the 51 countries mentioned above?

Well, if your country is not on the list, you are not eligible for the 72h visa-free policy. So for such long stayover, you need to apply for a transit visa in advance. BTW, if you are staying within 24h, no visa is needed.

Sorry I meant like I have a 5 hour window from arriving into SH and then my connecting flight to US.

The airline is China Eastern.
