About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

KIX - PKX - PVG - SIN

Do I qualify for the 24 hour visa free transit? Both PKX and PVG has 20+ hr layover each. Is the 24hr per stop?

Unfortunately, this is not eligible under 24 hour visa free transit. The rule of 24 hours under this travel scheme is based on the time counted from your first landing in China until your final departure from China. In other words, the time that is counted is the layover at your first airport, a flight between the two Chinese airports (because it is a domestic one) and the layover at your second airport. This, entire time should not exceed 24 hours. If the entire transit time does not exceed 24 hours, you are eligible, but if it does exceed 24 hours, you are not eligible any more and you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance. It is more than obvious that your itinerary is not eligible for 24 hours visa free transit, so the advise is, try to alter your flight itinerary to fit within 24 hour time frame rule or obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa. I hope you will be able to alter your flight itinerary.
