About:Mount Emei

Is it possible for me to get to the Golden Summit of Mt Emei and back in one day.

I plan to travel from chengdu to Emeishan where I have booked a one night stay. Is it possible for me to make an early start up the mountain and be back down for transport back to chengdu the same day. What I mean is, can I get transport i.e a cable car right to the summit?

You can get a bus from the foot of the mountain to Leidongping (about 110 minutes), and then take a cable to the Golden Summit (about 10 minutes).

The thing is even if you take transport all the way up to the summit and walk down the mountain, one day is not enough. If time is not enough, you can take transport down too at Qingyinge (Wuxiangang parking lot) or Wanning Temple.
