Do I need to get an Argentinan visa if I have a brazilian one?

I am a Chinese citizen studying in the US. I will be studying in Brazil in the summer and I want to visit Argentina from Brazil for 1 week.

Yes, you need it. In addition, it's possible that you can't apply for the Argentinan entry permit from Brazil.
