About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need visa to stay in Guilin for extra 55 minutes? If not, can I leave airport during that time?

Hi, my first flight is Toronto-Hong Kong-Guilin; and my second flight is Guilin-Malaysia (I'm a Malaysian). However, my layover time in Hong Kong is 19 hours, and in Guilin is 24 hours 55 minutes (I have to stay for another 24 hours because my other option is 55 minutes, which isn't sufficient for me to change flight).

X, then you'd better aply for a transit type in advance before you arrive in Guilin. It requires your passport, application form, passport photo and your air tickets.
