About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Entry permit for cruising

We will fly into Beijing on a Friday morning, and leave Beijing on a Monday morning for Hong Kong within a 72 hour time span, therefore not requiring an entry permit. We will stay in Hong Kong for 2 days, board a cruise ship on the 3rd day and sail into Sanjay China on the 4th day, leaving China at the end of the 4th day. Although, we do not plan to leave the cruise ship, are we required to have a visa, and if so, should we get single entry, or multiple entry just in case for the original entry in Beijing. We will return to the USA via Singapore.

Ronnie, if the ship leaves in 24 hours, then you needn't apply for any type. If its stay is longer than 24 hours, then you should apply for a G type in advance.
