Do I need two letters of invitation?

I am traveling to China to visit a niece who is teaching in Shanghai for two weeks. However, first I am going on a Tour of Beijing and Xian. I have a letter of invitation from the Tour Group, but it lists only the dates of the Tour. Do I need another letter from my niece for the remaining two weeks?

Bonnie, as far as I am concerned, the invitation letter from the Tour Group is enough for your application. After your L type is issued, if you think the allowed stay duration is not as long as you expect it to be, just take easy, because you can extend it at the Chinese local Exit and Entry Administration Bureau before the L type expires.
