Vancouver to Beijing, then one way ticket beijing to Singapore for a cruise

Hello! We are arriving in beijing from Vancouver on April 11th 3pm then we booked a separate one way ticket to Singapore from Beijing on April 13 9pm. Are we able to obtain the free 72hr visa since we have a guaranteed exit ticket from beijing to singapore? Thanks!
