Train from China to Spain

a few weeks ago the news about a train ride from PRC to Spain, kind of along the Silk Road. Does it really approximate the path of the road? Where does it stop? Can one take the train, get off at each station, tour the area and get back on the train, the next day and continue to the next stop?. How does one arrange such a trip.

Marc, I am not trying to disappoint you. But I find that it's a freight train from Yiwu of Zhejiang Province of China to Spain. It doesn't receive passengers.
