About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

A valid ticket, must be a round-trip?

Hi there, I have my friend from italy visiting from Singapore, and would like to take advantage of the 72-hour visa.
However, Is it ok if the transit ticket is technically a one way?
The current plan is: Singapore-Shanghai-Taipei-Singapore with all different airline + different inbound and outbound city since I guess that's the rule. Will our current plan work?

Yes, your plan qualifies for the 72 hour transit entry permit exemption policy.
