About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I have US passport, am I qualified for 72 hr transit permit?

I plan to fly from Taiwan to Shanghai, staying less than 72, and fly back to Los Angeles. However, I will be stopping by Taiwan airport on the way to Los Angeles (just in the airport to change flight). Is this qualified for 72 hrs transit permit?

I'm afraid it's not qualified for the 72 hrs transit permit. Anyway, you can confirm this with the airline or immigration authorities.
