About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

US Citizen traveling from MNL-PVG-HKT-MNL....

Hello. I am an US citizen that resides in LA, but am I eligible for 144-hour Visa free transit in Shanghai even though the Philippines isn't on the list of Qualified countries? Do I qualify since I have a US Passport, or my US Passport doesn't matter due to the fact that I am flying to Shanghai from a country not on the list of Qualified countries? I am flying LAX-MNL, where I will spend a few days, before embarking on PVG-HKT-MNL. Thanks for the help.

It doesn't matter if you fly from a country that is not on the list of qualified countries. You will be eligible for the 144-hour free transit policy.
