24hr direct transit

Hi
I am a US passport holder and will be working in Shanghai on a Z type. My fiancee ( who is a Philippine Passport holder) will be flying from the Philippines and arriving PVG at 11:45pm on March 5 with Cebu Pacific airlines and she will be going back to the U.S with me on a U.S Visa with United Airlines on March 6 at 5pm. Will she be allowed to go back to my hotel in Shanghai or will she have to stay at the airport till her flight to the U.S?
