Applying for a visa when travelling in another country, but not in your country of residence

Can I apply for a China entry permit from another country I am visiting, not my country of residence. For instance if I'm in south Korea and I then want to travel to China but do not have an entry permit, can I still apply for it when in south Korea?

Sharon, it is possible to do so in many countries, but not in all countries. Take your example, you can apply for the China entry permit from South Korea by providing the valid entry permit for SK.

Hi Hillary I appreciatae your response, thank you. Just for clarity when you san I can apply for the China entry permit from South Korea by providing the valid entry permit for SK.
What is the validy entry permit for South Korea, is this the stamp I will receive in my passport when I go through immigration in South Korea. As a UK citizen I am permitted to stay up to 90 days in Korea without a visa so I am assuming you are saying once I have my passport stamped showing my entry to Korea this will allow me to visit a consulate in SK to request a chinese visa whilst im in SK.? Kind regards Sharon
