About:Chinese Consulates in South Africa

Do I need a need visa? What would you advise?

Good day, I live in South Africa, I have a Swiss Passport and I have a SA permit resident. I am planning to go to Guangzhou for 3 days. I looked on internet, it says that I can travel to Guangzhou for 72 hours free transit. Thank you Mirjeta

Yes, you can make use of 72 hours free transit in Guangzhou. However, you can't fly from South Africa and then fly back directly. You should fly from SA to Guangzhou and then to HK or any other country before you go back to SA. Then you can use 72 hours free transit in Guangzhou.
