9 hour layover & 18 hour layover in Guangzhou. Can I get a transit visa?

Hi,
I am from the Philippines. I am travelling from Thailand to USA and back with long layovers there. Can I leave the airport? Can I get a transit visa there? I have an American visa and American husband. Please help.

As long as your transit is within 24h, no transit visa is needed. You can apply for a stay permit in the airport. Showing the permit, you will be allowed to leave the airport. For you will stop over for the round trip, U need to apply for the permit for twice. It will be easy. Don't worry!
