About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Residence permit for spouses/partners

Hello,
I am going to be working in China for two years, which, after arrival, I will be able to apply for a residence permit. We are not married, but is there any way that I can get my significant other a residence permit or do they have to get a multiple-entry visa? I want to avoid them having to leave the country every two months if possible.

Dan, they can't apply for S type because you are not married yet. So they can just apply for 10 years L type which enables them to stay 60 days every time. And they need to exit every 60 days to make their visa work.
