What exactly are you going to do in HK? If you go to HK to conclude contracts, submit tenders, examine r supervise the installation/packaging of goods or equipment, participate in exhibitions or trade fairs, participate in product orientaton or attend short-term seminars or other business meetings, you can just apply for a visitor type instead from Chinese embassy in your country.

It requires your passport, application form (ID1003A), a recent passport photo, a copy of your passport information page, round-trip air tickets, hotel booking in HK and personal finance statement (such as recent six months bank statement, employment certificate etc).

Hi Ivan

Thank you for your reply... I actually I have a job offer from a Company in Hong Kong and they are applying for my work visa.

Is there any possibility I can go to Hong Kong while the work Pass is under process? if yes then what type of entry permit should I apply for?

Regards
Inoma

I think you can go to Hong Kong on a tourist type entry permit during the work pass processing, and then apply for the work type entry permit at HK.
