Philippine citizen holding Philippine passport with student visa in china

Hi! My name is John!
I'm a philippine citizen holding Philippine passport and I'm currently studying in China. I have plan to go in Hongkong. Am I free to go there using my X type? Or do I need for supporting documents?

Thanks!
John

John, what kind of X type do you have? X1 or X2? Is it a single entry or doubl-entry one? If you just have single entry one, you will have trouble when you get back to mainland China. You need to apply for another one if you want to get back. And you needn't prepare any other documents to visit HK because you enjoy 14 days free access in HK.
