About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

International Transfer T1 --> T2 in the Pudong Airport

I will arrive at T1 from Taiwan and depart to the US from T2 (2 hour layover). Do I need to go through customs? If so, I am worried about a long customs line, which is common at PVG.

Yes, you need to go thru the customs.
