About:China Visa on Arrival

I am an US citizen. Can I get a China visa at the port of entry in Hong Kong?

My mother is in ICU, and my family already got the notice from the doctor that she might not able to make it through within couple of days. So, I hope to fly to Hong Kong right away. Please let me know if I can get the VOA at Hong Kong airport. Thanks a lot.

Is your mother at Hong Kong now? If so, you don't need the entry permit for HK as long as your stay there is not more than 90 days.
