About:Xining Travel

I was thinking about going to Xining (as a not-so-obvious-chinese-city) to study chinese language.

hi hello,
How is this city in general? I mean: what about air/water quality (some sources says it's terrible, some says it's way better than Beijing, Harbin), what about, don't know, fresh fruits, fresh fish and so on, are they available to buy? It's really hard to find some not-photoshopped photos how does the city looks like. I don't like big cities, chinese western-style cities and I love Huizu and Uyhgur cuisine. Will this city be a good choice? I'm thinking about Qinghai Mingzu Daxue, does anybody know anything about it? Thanks for all help, I'm just worried I could arrive the city just to find out that it's god-forgotten place with nothing to do, nothing to see, nothing to eat.

Well, it’s a fine place with fresh air and blue sky. The environment there is much better than Beijing, Harbin, Shanghai and other big cities in the eastern area. Fresh fruit and fish are available, but the price may be a little high there. For your preference, I think it is a good choice for you. The city is not as developed as Beijing, Shanghai; but people there are very kind and warm-hearted.
I guess you have already did a lot research for your choice. Qinghai Minzu Daxue is a good one for you to study language.
Also, the city is not a god-forgotten place. There are lots of foods and attractions with ethnic characteristic. I’m sure you will like it.
