About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Seoul to Shanghai to Seoul to JFK

Traveling to Seoul, and considering a day trip to Shanghai (one night), wondering if able to use the free transit visa, since the return to Seoul would be the same day as the return flight back to JFK via Seoul.

Total trip would be Seoul-Shanghai-Seoul-NYC.

The route is not regared as a valid transit, so I doubt whether you can make use of the 24-hour free transit. I suggest you contact your airline to make sure.
