Can I apply for China Visa before my previous one expired?

I have US passport and still living in US, and have a L type Multiple entry for 2 years expiring June 2015. Now that there are 10 year one available, can I apply for a 10 year one now before they raise the price even my current one not expired yet.

Cinday, you can apply for the 10 years multiple L type. Just make sure that your passport is still valid for one year and have enough blank pages.
