About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Do I need a visa if I am arriving by cruise ship in Baoshan and leaving the same day to USA

I am arriving aboard a Celebrity cruise ship in the port of Baoshan and then flying home that same day.
What if I stay 1 night in Shanghai

How long will you stay in mainland China? If the time is not more than 24 hours (calculated from the midnight following your arrival), you don't need one.
