Hi can I buy a ticket in Shenzhen railway for a journey from Shanghai to Xi'an?

I have British passport and would be paying cash at ticket office.

yes. you can buy the ticket for Shanghai to Xian trip at Shenzhen railway station, but CNY5 of the service fee would be charged by the station.
