One day visit to TianJin for me by bullet train from Beijing and Fiancé joining in afternoon

Please could someone help me plan my day . Together with my fiancé I would like to walk along the river , have dinner , perhaps the Ferris wheel ? Are there any nice recommendations for western dining by the river ? I heard about Marco Polo square. How do I get there?
In the day part, I would like to savor the local snacks and cuisines , what sort of transportation should I use and where can I go to hang around and chill out. I would like to go back to the station to meet him and is the station by the river ? Thank you
